50% Cabernet Franc 43% Merlot 7% Cabernet Sauvignon
Merlot and Cabernet Franc fermented in open top fermenters and Cabernet Sauvignon in static fermenters - Pumped over thrice daily. Each component spent 24 months in 40% new and balance in two to three year old French oak barriques.
The La Bratta Rosso displays bright violets, blackcurrant and plum with spicy undertones. A complex, savoury and rich style that is full bodied with a very ripe and fine tannin structure. Flavours of blackcurrant and underlying dark cocoa are pronounced. A long, persistent and intriguing wine that is drinking beautifully now but will reward patience.
