(Cabernet Franc, merlot, cabernet sauvignon) Medium to full red to brick-red colour, a trace of purple; a savoury style of red, not so varietal, but it has some mellowness and complexity, and is very drinkable. Traces of violets, herbs and spices. Long palate. Lovely wine in a less-fruity St-Émilion style that's a contrast to the usual Margaret River bright-fruit, cabernet sauvignon-based reds.

Merlot and Cabernet Franc fermented in open top fermenters and Cabernet Sauvignon in static fermenters - Pumped over thrice daily. Each component spent 24 months in 40% new and balance in two to three year old French oak barriques.
The La Bratta Rosso displays bright violets, blackcurrant and plum with spicy undertones. A complex, savoury and rich style that is full bodied with a very ripe and fine tannin structure. Flavours of blackcurrant and underlying dark cocoa are pronounced. A long, persistent and intriguing wine that is drinking beautifully now but will reward patience.
